Sheena Wilkie – Coach
I am curious by nature—always asking questions, exploring new ideas, and learning alongside others. Whether through reading, workshops, conversation, or practice, I continue to deepen my understanding of visual storytelling and observation. Teaching has long been one of the ways I give back. Like many, I stand on the shoulders of generous mentors, and I value opportunities to share what I have learned through experience in photography, communications, and creative practice.
I greatly enjoyed my decade as a photography and communications instructor at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). Later, through my private school Photo Gurus, I discovered how meaningful it can be to work with small groups in supportive learning environments. Many of those student relationships continue today.
As a coach, I see myself as a guide and facilitator—someone who helps create space for curiosity, confidence, and careful observation to grow. While my current artistic practice is centered on watercolour painting and sketching, I am gradually developing future workshops and presentations focused on visual storytelling, observation, and creative practice. These offerings will evolve over time.
